Logan Square is bounded by West Bloomingdale, Armitage, Diversey and Milwaukee and has long been known as a mostly residential neighborhood with stately tree-lined boulevards endowed with majestic vintage mansions and Edwardian brick or greystone three-flats. This is still an apt description but the area is quickly gaining new amenities and more varied housing options. New chic and funky restaurants, boutiques and culinary shops have popped up alongside old neighborhood favorites, but the area maintains its quiet relaxed atmosphere. Several favorite hangouts formerly found in Wicker Park have now moved to Logan Square.

August and September bring, respectively, the Taste of Logan Square and Historic Mansion House Walk and other neighborhood festivals and activities occur throughout the year.

Public transit options include the Armitage, Diversey and Milwaukee bus lines as well as the California blue line stop and Clybourn Metra stop. Logan Square is also convenient to the Kennedy expressway (90/94).
